Thanksgiving at the Peterson's

Happy Thanksgiving !!!!

So this was the first year my whole family wasn't at the Thanksgiving dinner. Eric my brother has recently decided we aren't the best thing for his life right now. He has sort of shut our family off. Its hard cause anyone that knows my family, knows how close we are, and how blunt we are. Its hard cause we all have such strong options, and that includes Eric.

It was amazing at how this Thanksgiving it was brought to my attention so many times, at how lucky I am to have such an awesome family! Even though we are missing one, I know that its going to be extremely hard for Eric to stay away from our family. I went around taking pictures of everyone in my family, and as I was taking them I was thinking on what I would miss about them if I was the one, not associating myself with my family anymore. Here we go!

MOMMIE
Okay, this women is like amazing! I know everyone says their moms want the best for their kids, but seriously this women would do anything, for any of her kids! I know I personally don't tell her enough how much I love her. And I take for granite the amazing selflessness she shows. I can't even start to imagine what my life would be like without her, nor do I want.

Dad (aka old man)

Where do I even start?? I am who I am, because of this man. The good, the bad, and the ugly... just blame him! My dad is one of those guys that doesn't have to say he is proud of you, even though it's nice to hear it from time to time, he just doesn't. However I can see it in his eyes how proud he is of all his daughters. He is so funny, and for sure keeps us all on our feet. :D

Chad & Annie

Channie, what a cute couple! I love to watch these together because they bring the best out of each other. They seriously complete each other, its adorable to watch. I couldn't pick a better man for Annie, than Chad. They both have a sense of humor that just makes everyone laugh.

Carrie

Okay, so I seriously have no idea what happened to the picture I had of Carrie... lol I can't find it! So, I'll use this one, cause I think she looks cute. In the last year Carrie and I have become a lot closer than we have been in the past. Yes we still tend to get on each others last nerve, but we have come a long way! She has a smile anyone in the room will notice. Sometimes I think how different she is from my other sisters, she mixes it up a lot! shes not straight out of the book, she likes to have adventure, and excitement.

Lindsay and Julio

Okay this is the perfect example of what a marriage should be! both have giving so much, and take so many chances, just to be together. Its funny cause I have watched Lindsay give in on so many things for Julio. In return I have watched Julio give up on numerous things for her. this is what its about, giving for each other, cause you love them. Julio is so shy, and pretends he doesn't know English, but really he is sooooo funny, and knows English just fine. Lindsay is the smartest person I know, I never second guess anything she tells me.

I have been blessed with such amazing sisters!! I love them so much! Anyway there is a little bit about my family, and what I viewed this Thanksgiving.

Karlees First Bowling Trip!
Karlee and her first 1st bowlin ball!

Hhahaha, She is totally Cheezin it in this picture, she was excited!

So, I was lucky enough, to be able to take Karlee bowling for her first time! She was so freaking cute! I was thinking she would need one of those sweet ball roller ramps, but no way! she just hucked it down the lane herself!
This is what she looked like everytime she bowled, she would run back, put her hands on her hips, and wait! and then turn around to Kimmi, and I and say "Come on ball!"

The mid bowling drink break! The cup was bigger than her head, I thought it was funny!
And the score were in!! actually Kimbers wasn't done.... but I she didn't beat me, so it doesn't reall matter! plus this was the best picture of the screen. Karlee was adorable playing bowling, now if I could just get her to bowl a 300. :D

Chocolate dipping tradition!

So my grandma Peterson, and all of my aunts have always dipped chocolates around Christmas time. My mom used to do it when we were little, but hasn't for a while. she recently, the last year or so started doing them again. My sisters and I have decided this is something we wanna do with my mom every year from here on out. We had a blast doing it!!
Shawna P... didn't she ever learn not to play with her food!

My mom, Annie, and Lindsay hard at work!

This little girl is way to cute her own good! Karlee and her mom, Kimmi came over and helpped us for a bit, I think this was the first year she was old enough to really understand what we were doing. She ran around setting up the little black choc cups for everyone. While we were waiting for more choc to be melted, we started drawing our names in the chocolate.. way to much fun!

REWARD TIME!!! after hours of dipping chocolates, we decided it was time for our reward, we ordered pizza, and made my dad pay! yay!

My little witch!

Okay so its takin me forever, but here is a picture of Razzle in her halloween costume. I can't remember the last time I didn't dress up, but this year for some reason or another I just wasn't into it, so I didn't. But here is Razzy the witch!

The lace up the back was the best freakin part, and when she sat in it, it just made me giggle!

My little Trouble maker!

As hard as I try, I just can't ever be mad at this dog.... she is just to way freakin cute! The other night I was helping my mom load songs on to her Ipod, and I heard her makin alot of noise, so I ran in there, and she had shreded toilet paper to boot! IT WAS EVERYWHERE! Of coarse I should of got mad at her, and told her we don't do that... well.. I couldn't stop laughing long enough to do so.

I'm not really sure how one yells at something so stinking cute! I tried!
I said "Razzly, we don't do this!" my mom and dad both ran in at this
point, both which were laughing. But seriously how do you get mad
at a face like that?

Here is what happends to unattended toilet paper at my house.... haha
Hundreds of dollars worth of dog toys, and this is what she
plays with!?!?!

Razzle gets "puffed"

Wow, where time goes.. It seems like I just got Razzle, and here it is, its been a month! She is 12 weeks old! holy cow! I've said it a million times, and I'm sure I'll say it another million, "I can'wait for her to be grown up!" its just happening so fast! When we first got her as a shy, little 8 week old puppy she would approach Boots, Lindsay cat, Boots the raspy little thing would hiss, and curl up her back, do the typical "I'm a big, bad mean cat! stay away from me." bit. Naturally, Razzle would back up as fast as she could, and run to me for help. Well... she aint no little puppy any more, and shes found out Boots has no claws! Our family just sits and watches the show, and laughs. We refer to it as, Boots is always "puffing" Razzle. Because she knocks her in the forhead with her paw, as if she had claws. haha. Boots loves the dogs, but she acts like has to be all tuff around them always... so it might seem crude to watch this as it was some sort of sport, but Boots follows Razzle around egging her on. its so funnny! Here is a short clip of them "puffing" in action.

I've decdied that I'm that type of a person that will always have a dog. I don't care the work they take, I don't care the amout of money they take, I LOVE dogs! After calling the puppy "hey you puppy!" we finally came to a name... well acutally I just decided I loved it and my whole family said "oh man why would you name her that? Well I named her RAZZLE!

Am I ready for a new pup?!?!

So for you that know, Snickers isn't doing very well, which in return.. I'm not doing very well. Pretty much it boils down to 6 grand worth of surgery, and keeping her off of her back leg for a whole year... yeah never gonna happen! Anyway after a month of many crying sessions, and family talking, Snickers and I have decided to get a new member to our family! We have have been looking for a little girl puppy for the last couple weeks, and we FINALLY! found one!

She is only 6 weeks old right now, so she can't come home till the first of October, but we are so excited for her! I'm a little nervous, you can't tell Snickers this, but the reason for us getting a new puppy, is cause I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to keep Snickers. I'm being a little selfish in the fact that I wanna become attached to another dog, before I have to put her to sleep. Everyone keeps asking me "are you sure about another dog?" "Your ready for another dog?" "That's alot of work, you want a new puppy?" would people stop asking me that, no of coarse I'm not, they are alot of work, but Snickers has been the best thing that has happen to me in my life thus for, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do without her, and this is the best way I can think of to deal with it. So our new puppy is a choc. lab or coarse. We aren't sure about the name though, any ideas? We kinda wanted to stay with the candy bar theme, seeing how we have a Snickers, and a Hershey, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Feeding the ducks

Feeding the little Ducklings

This last weekend, Kimberly went down to St.George for the whole weekend! Karlee got to sleep over, and we got to do fun things all weekend. Sunday Morning was regional conference, so we decided to go do something fun. we ended up in Springville, and decided to go feed the ducks. We called Annie and Chad and they brought some bread, and we all got to feed the ducks. We must of went threw 2 full bags of bread, Karlee would throw a whole piece of bread in, and watch um all fight for it, and then she would just giggle. By the end of she was ripping m&m size pieces cause she knew we were running out of bread. It was so fun, she is so cute!

Splash Dogs Competition

On Labor Day I went up with Melanie to the Spalsh Dog Competition, holy cow!! SO MUCH FUN! I'm so excited to get another puppy to start training her how to jump. Here is viedo of Sadie making a jump. Sadie wasn't a top jumper for for her first time so did so good!

Fort Bridger Days

For Labor day weekend we went to Manila and Visited, and then went to the Fort Bridger days Mountian Man Rendevous. It was so much fun! I had never been to anything like that, there were thousands of people, hundreds of teepee's, hundreds of tents full of Mtn. Man stuff to buy. I ended up purchaseing the cutiest paricell umbrella, and leather gloves that have fringe, both so cute! I'm excited to use them on wagon trains next year. It was one of the funnest things I've done this summer, I'm excited to go again next year.

The new Alisha Keys :)

Okay so everyone that knows me, knows I my life wouldn't be the same without Karlee, she is the cutiest thing in the whole world! and I like to pretend to be the best aunt there ever was. My phone ring was "No one" by Alisha Keys for a long time, well Karlee picked up on it, and now everytime she hears it she says "*gasp* Jenji! Its your your phone!" So I recorded her singing it, damn she is so cute!

Does "Speed Dating" only work in the movies?

So I have watched hundreds of movies where, The young, cute, single girl goes speed dating, and it always seem to work out for her. She meets the most amazing men, good looking, good personality, and money is always a plus. So when I got a invite to a young adults speed dating night, I could only image the bitter sweet sound of saying "I do". My older sister Carrie, my best friend Melanie, my cousin Kimberly, and Myself, got completely dolled up, in hopes to meet our "Mr. Right".

After Driving 20 minutes up Sundance Canyon, You can only imagine the looks on our faces, when we pulled into a parking lot that was jammed packed with mini-vans, and compact cars. Trying to be positive about it, we parked my full size F-250 (the only one there), and decided to watch a few people go in, while we waited for Carrie to arrive. Needless to say the handful of people we watched didn't get me excited at all about going in, at all! After I could bare sitting in my truck no longer, we spotted a good looking fella standing outside, with no one to talk to. We all jumped at the chance to talk to him, As we all pilled out of the truck, and started to get closer to the bait, that had lured us in. We realized he wasn't our "Mr. Right" One of those, looks great for a distances, but a mess up close kinda thing. So there we were, stading in the middle of a hundrend singles. After making a few rounds of the area, we decided to take a seat on the couch and see if anyone approched us. Thats when I deiced it was a tie between the older gentlemen, that looked around 65, 5'2, and completely bald. And the one and only guy under 35, that was wearing shorts, plaid shirt, and Suspenders. We all tried so hard to be positive about it, but there was just no saving this event. We decided we could save the night by leaving early, and going to dinner somewhere, with the hopes of having a hott waiter to hit on. All said and done, it was fun cause we made light of it all with the laughs and giggles. I decided I'm so lucky to have such awesomes friends that think, and act so much like me.

Yearly Uintah Wagon Train

For the Last 3 years, every August we go on a Uintah wagon train. Its for sure the funnest one, cause everyone comes, all the kids are out of school, plus its close to Manila, so the Olsens, and the Smiths even get to come! I feel so Lucky to have so many awesome friends that enjoy being with horses, and pretty much going out to the middle of no where and living for a week. We have base camp ground, and every day we ride out do a different lake. Brownie lake, Spirit Lake, Sheep Creek, all are the most amazing lakes, its just soooo pretty! This year it was just My dad and I that went, I was little scared, cause it seems like my dad always needs someone in the wagon incase something happened and he needed some help. But I'm a fanatic about taking pictures, so I like to be out roaming. It all turned out good in the end, someone was always with him, and I was always out and about being a social butterfly, and taking pictures! I'm so thankful for the wagon hobby, I love it, I get to go camping, make amazing friends, be with horses, and spend time with my family all in one, what other hobby lets you do all that in one? Anyway here are some pics, My memory card had major issuse this wagon train so I lost aout 200 pics, but Melanie, and John helped me out by saving as many as they could.

New hair....yet again. :D

Okay well, we all know i can't find a hair color, or do and just be happy with it. I have to change my hair everytime I go to get it trimmed. Thanks to my fantastic hair styliest Ash, I always end up with some amazingly cute do. For those that remember, I had long, blonde hair for over 2 years... after deciding to cut 14 inches off, and going darker, I thought I was set for life... no way! I know took all the blonde out of it and just dark... haha I guess we'll see how long this last. :D
